Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-08-03. This policy explains what Choosing Change, the private practice of Aditi, RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist (CRR No. A113055), does with the small amount of information you share on this website. It is written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
What we collect
When you request an appointment on this site, we ask for your name, your WhatsApp number, and your email address, along with the day and time of day you’d prefer. We do not ask for your reason for reaching out, your age, or any clinical information. The booking form is an interest request, it is not a clinical record.
Where your details go, and what we store
This website does not have a database and does not store your details. Your name, WhatsApp number, email, and preferred day and time are passed directly into Aditi’s own secure practice records, where she reviews requests herself. Sending this form does not book, reserve, or confirm an appointment, it lets her know you’d like to be in touch, and she replies to settle a time.
Why we use it (purpose & legal basis)
We use your details for one purpose only: to contact you on WhatsApp and arrange the appointment you asked for. We process them on the basis of the request you make to us, under the “certain legitimate uses” and consent provisions of the DPDP Act. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Because nothing is stored on this site, retention happens only within Aditi’s own practice records, and only for as long as needed to arrange your appointment and provide your care. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and you may withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, or to raise a grievance, email hello@choosingchange.co.in.
Confidentiality in therapy
What you share in sessions is confidential, with the limited exceptions that Indian law and professional ethics require, a serious risk of harm to you or another person, a court order, or the mandatory reporting of harm to a child. These limits are explained to you before therapy begins.
Not for emergencies
This website and the booking form are not monitored for emergencies. If you or someone you know is in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, please don’t wait for an appointment, call Tele-MANAS 14416, KIRAN 1800-599-0019, or emergency services at 112.
